Sometimes it is the little things…

No Comments Uncategorized

About 2 weeks ago I wrote about What I loved about Google Adsense.  And today I just wanted to show you the results that I have received over the past two weeks with my little experiment.  Well it was an experiment on my part, because I didn’t know the outcome.  But to Google it was a pure measure of analytics, and I am happy they sent me the email.

Estimated earnings

Page eCPM

Page CTR

I know most of you probably don’t speak the online marketing lingo, but basically the clicks through rate (CTR) per page has stayed the same, but my eCPM or the rate per ad clicked is now 350% of what it was just two weeks ago.  So again I say that I am glad Google is watching out for us AdSense content delivers.  Because it has a direct effect on my bank account, as well as their I imagine.

What I Love About Google AdSense

We performed an analysis on xyz.com and found a great opportunity to increase your AdSense earnings. We recommend that you change your 120×600 ad units to 160×600′s on xyz.com. Here is an example of where we found this opportunity: xyz.com/

Generating the code for this new ad size should take no more than five minutes, and may have a substantial impact on your revenue. On average, publishers across our network who implement this change see a noticeable improvement on the CPMs and we think you’ll see similar results.

For an example of how small changes can make a big impact on your revenue, check out how CareerPlanner.com increased their revenue by 165% by making changes similar to the one I’ve suggested.

You’ll get the best results by updating all 120×600 units across your site. Our system analyzed 1pages across xyz.com and found 3 120×600 ad units.

I know this is probably in their best self interest, but it also makes me money in the same way.  So it’s a win/win in my book.
